Upper School Summer Reading 2023
Sora is a digital reading app that allows users to borrow e-books and audiobooks from Brearley and public libraries.
To read e-books and listen to audiobooks on your device, download the free Sora app or go to the Sora website. You will need your Brearley library card number to sign in. It is located on your Portal profile, in the General Information section of your Contact Card.

Getting Started with Sora
With Sora, you can get free e-books and audiobooks from your school.

Step 1
Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to soraapp.com.
Step 2
In Sora, search for "Brearley", then sign in.
Note: If you need your sign-in information email Ms. Piedmont.
Step 3
Browse the 
tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away.
Step 4
Close the book and go to 
to see all your books. From there, you can:
- Select Open book or Open audiobook to read or listen to the book.
- Select Options to renew or return the book, see your notes and highlights, and more.
HVLA Consortium
Brearley is a member of the Hudson Valley Library Association Consortium, which provides Brearley students free access to HVLA's collection in Sora. Follow these directions to add HVLA's collection to your Sora account.
