About Citations

There are many citation styles, which can be confusing. As a general rule, use APA for science writing, Chicago Manual of Style for history writing, and MLA for English writing. Always check with your teacher first. The styles govern not only your bibliographies and notations, but also the style of your paper (font, spacing, cover sheet), so be sure to check these resources to ensure that your paper has the correct appearance.

Annotated Bibliography Information

To write annotations in Noodletools, click the "Options" button next to your source, and select "Edit Annotation" from the drop-down menu. The annotation will be added to your bibliography in the correct format. We recommend creating your annotations in a word processing program and then pasting them into Noodletools.
